Your role
You will be responsible for managing the software sourcing category as well as executing a wide range of sourcing projects and activities, mainly within the category but also in other IT related categories. In your role you will also be responsible for, supplier relationship management and contracts. You will be part of a small team of procurement professionals with an atmosphere of openness, knowledge sharing and a solution-oriented approach.
You will report to the Head of IS/IT Procurement within the central Group Procurement function.
The main tasks are:
- Set, develop and execute category strategies
- Perform and lead sourcing projects and activities
- Lead collaboration and communication with cross functional teams globally, interact with relevant stakeholders
- Responsible for Supplier relationships commercially
- Supplier Governance and Contracts
- Deliver value and performance improvements, compliance and cost reduction
- Participate in Saab Procurement’s exciting journey to drive Operational Excellence and becoming a world leading purchasing organization
During 2021, we started a Procurement excellence program that will run over the next coming years to develop Saab into a world leading Purchasing organization.
Travels will occur in this role.
Your profile
We are looking for a commercially focused and business driven Category Manager / Strategic Purchaser, that have hands-on experience in executing and delivering results, who enjoys leading sourcing activities and interacting with stakeholders and suppliers. To fit this role, you need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills and manages contracts and relationships with suppliers autonomously. Additionally, we value qualities like openness, collaboration, self-motivation, structure and analytical thinking, along with a strong drive to achieve performance goals.
Required skills:
- Master degree or Relevant University degree, or equivalent job experience
- Several years of relevant experience in Procurement of SW and IT areas
- Strong Business acumen and Commercial drive
- Significant experience of software and IT market, suppliers, solutions and business models
- Excellent Swedish and English skills, verbal and written
Desired skills:
- Experience from Procurement or Supply Chain
- Experience of leading commercial teams
- Interest in continuous improvements and digitalization
- Interest in sustainability
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
